According to the agency, from September 28 to 30 in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation the illegal activity of North Korean fishermen on 11 small-sized vessels was suppressed.

“87 DPRK citizens included in the crew of the vessels were detained,” TASS reports.

As noted, more than 4 thousand individuals of illegally obtained squid were seized.

September 17, it became known that the crew of the North Korean schooner, engaged in poaching, attacked the border guards in the Russian waters of the Sea of ​​Japan. FSB officers detained 161 DPRK citizens.

Later, on September 27, 262 fishery poachers from the DPRK were reportedly detained in Primorye.

The Kremlin said the situation requires vigorous action.
