INTERVIEW

Throughout the Rugby World Cup (September 20 to November 2, 2019), Denis Brogniart will present Le mag on TF1, around the main matches of the competition. The host of Koh-Lanta and finds his cap as a sports journalist, he has especially focused on Europe 1. In L'Equipee sauvage Europe 1, he delivers his impressions of the XV of France a few days from the beginning of the competition.

"I am an eternal optimist and a chauvinist"

"If we look at the last performances of the French team, we go a little pessimistic", does not hide Denis Brogniart, including reference to the Six Nations tournament, "but I am an eternal optimist and a chauvinist" he adds. The XV of France will have more to do. Indeed, France is in the same group as Argentina and England, two big fish. Problem, only two places are qualifying. "Everything will be played in the first match against Argentina, that's what is terrible," said Denis Brogniart.

However, the host is confident, especially given the preparation of the Blues. "They have been training for several weeks together, I think there is a real cohesion", he says, also highlighting "the contribution of Fabien Galthié as an assistant coach with Jacques Brunel."
