He emphasized that there is no threat of amputation of the girl’s left arm, although neurological injuries persist that will require long-term treatment.
“But there is, of course, a problem with the right hand. And today the question of the need for amputation was decided. We held a consultation, ”the doctor said.
According to him, both Moscow specialists and doctors from Ingushetia, including the deputy minister of health of the republic, took part in the consultation.
Director of the Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology Valery Mitish said that the amputation operation will take place this week.
“This week will be the first stage of surgical treatment - the removal of all dead tissue in fact in the amount of amputation. But this is not the last stage, since the struggle for every centimeter, millimeter of a hand continues, ”he stressed.
In the future, doctors will monitor the wound for the possible preservation of the elbow composition of the arm.
