He noted that, despite the appearance of American ships, the demand for the Soyuz did not disappear, on the contrary, both the Energia Corporation, Roscosmos, and Kazakhstani colleagues received new requests from other states wishing to provide the first human flight experience from Baikonur to space.

“At present, we are negotiating with other potential participants in this project. This is Turkey, this is Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, and many other countries, ”TASS quoted Rogozin as saying.

Earlier, Rogozin announced Russia's intention to use Baikonur for manned flights to the International Space Station until 2030.

In October, it became known that the modernization of the Baikonur Cosmodrome for launching new Soyuz-5 and Soyuz-6 rockets would begin in 2020.

It was also reported that Roscosmos will reduce the number of its astronauts on the ISS in order to provide space on Soyuz spacecraft to American astronauts.
