Economy ministers Bruno Le Maire and the ecological transition Élisabeth Borne on Sunday accused the CGT of refusing dialogue on pension reform, which vigorously challenged its secretary general Philippe Martinez.

"I think (that the CGT) defends his troops more than the French" by demanding the withdrawal of the project of universal pension system by points, released Bruno Le Maire on France 3.

"When Philippe Martinez talks about a tussle, I invite him to give up the tussle and I invite him to enter the dialogue, because it is the dialogue that will allow us to have a pension reform that be acceptable to all French people, "he continued.

Asked on the set of France Inter and France Televisions on these remarks, the chief executive estimated that Bruno Le Maire was "still in the division".

"We are defending all the French because this bill concerns all the French, and Bruno Le Maire, I hope, watched television, listened to the radio, he must have heard or seen that last Thursday he something had happened and it was not privileged, it was the world of work that was on the street, "said the union leader, echoing the mobilization of more than 800,000 demonstrators on December 5.

During the "Grand jury" RTL / Le Figaro / LCI, Elisabeth Borne for its part felt that "the CGT, since the beginning, (...) is not in discussions".

"So I do not think it is with the CGT that we will find the way out of this conflict," tapped the Minister of Transport. "There are proposals from the trade unions ... It is these proposals that the Prime Minister will answer Wednesday," she said, referring to the CFDT, CFTC and Unsa, more open to the discussion on the government project.

In Le Journal du dimanche, Philippe Martinez has once again responded to the accusation that he is being denied the dialogue.

His organization "saw" High Commissioner for pensions Jean-Paul Delevoye "22 times since December 2017, no offense to those who say that the CGT has the policy of the empty chair." But "we propose a completely different pension reform project" than that of the executive, he said.
