MADRID (Reuters) - Brazilian Marcelo has missed training with his team mates at Real Madrid, and the prospect of his return to the Champions League against Bruges next Tuesday has become more difficult after a session of recovery training for key players in the "Derby" Spanish capital.

After a goalless draw in the Atletico Madrid stronghold on Saturday evening, the "Royal" on Sunday, returned to training for the second round of Champions League, keeping in mind the need to win after a bad start to the tournament with a thumping 3-0 defeat at Paris St Germain.

Zinedine Zidane received bad news about Marcelo's absence from the team training, having tested him in the last two derby exercises to solve left-back problems and ultimately decided not to risk his return.

The Brazilian is still struggling with a muscle injury from which he was recovering and trained on Sunday morning alone.
