Just over a week ago, Rasmus Sandin took bronze in JVM

- He was fantastic, our best defender on the pitch tonight, says former Toronto star Tomas Kaberle.

Swedish talent Rasmus Sandin was recruited to Toronto for this season, but has not played in the NHL since October 12.

After the JVM success, the 19-year-old has now been called back to the NHL team, and the hill made an impression after five minutes.

Forced by William Nylander, he fired a hard shot that hit teammate John Tavares before the puck went into goal. A quarter later, he did the same feat when he fired a shot at goal that was directed by Zach Hyman.

Compared to Lidas

- He's fun to watch. It's fun to play with him, ”says teammate Auston Matthews reports to the Toronto Sun.

The 19-year-old is compared in the newspaper with Swedish back legend Nicklas Lidström.

- He's not a big guy. He is fearless in his game. He plays so smart. What a fantastic game he will be back with, says Tomas Kaberle from the team's locker room after the game.

William Nylander also contributed to the victory by scoring his 21st goal of the season. With the win, Toronto broke a loss match of three games.
