The Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump on the strategic relations of cooperation between the two countries and the prospects of strengthening and developing them.

During the phone conversation, they also reviewed the developments of peace negotiations between the United States and the Afghan Taliban, which was held recently in Doha.

The Emir of Qatar visited the United States about a month ago and held meetings with the US President to discuss strategic and defense relations between the two countries, and issued a statement saying that these relations are increasingly strengthened.

Sheikh Tamim and President Trump witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements in many areas, including defense, energy and air transport.

The Emir said in a tweet during the visit of Sheikh Tamim that the emir of Qatar is a respected leader in an important region of the world, describing him as a great friend and wonderful partner.

For his part, Sheikh Tamim invited President Trump to visit Qatar and the base of many, pointing out that his visit to Washington to emphasize the values ​​shared by Qatar and the United States.
