The fade to black was sudden. "We were in the office uploading some files on Instagram when, suddenly, the connection got worse and left completely for days," recalls Zohreh, a Teheran publicist whose social media ads cover much of his business. Without internet, there was no work: "I had to tell the employees to go home and not return until everything returned to normal. Customers began to protest. We lost 10 days of profits," laments the young woman.
