According to him, these resources should be enough for the country for the heating season 2019-2020.

“Ukraine is provided with gas, coal, all the necessary resources in order to safely pass this winter. In general, this winter is out of the question, because we made sure that nothing in the energy plan threatened Ukraine in the near future, ”he said.

At the same time, Goncharuk added that trilateral negotiations on the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine are ongoing.

In September, the head of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mikhail Volynets announced a “disaster” with coal reserves in the country.

In August, Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrei Gerus said that the upcoming heating season in Ukraine could be challenging amid problems with coal reserves and disputes with Gazprom on transit issues.
