The police received an alarm about the explosion at 02.04 after several people in the area heard a loud bang and felt a pressure wave.

- Several calls came in to us and SOS Alarm, on the straight arm I would say it was about ten. Once in place, we could quickly see that some kind of explosive charge was detonated, says Morten Gunneng, security officer at the West Region police.

How could you tell that it was an explosive charge that detonated?

- It appeared in the splash damage that occurred. It was a powerful explosion, several windows were destroyed and a water leak occurred.

The area must be secured

The police have blocked the scene and the National Bomb Guard is called.

- They will first secure the area, so there is nothing more to detonate. Then a technical investigation will be done, says Morten Gunneng.

According to the police, there are no reports that any person should have been injured. The incident is classified as a general destruction.
