According to him, gas transit through the Polish section of the Yamal pipeline to Germany “has nothing to do” with the contract for the purchase of gas, which was concluded by the Polish energy company (PGNiG).

Naimsky said that about 30 billion cubic meters of gas are transported through Germany to Poland annually.

According to him, such transit is possible "for a long period in the future." A representative of the Polish government called it a “business issue”.

“Now a huge amount of gas is transmitted through Poland, in fact, for free, this should not happen. 21 million zlotys (about $ 5.5 million) versus billions of cubic meters sent westward on a 660-kilometer stretch is nothing, ”RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

In June, Poland announced its readiness to launch a gas pipeline of 2 billion cubic meters and connect it to the Ukrainian gas transportation system.
