Large areas of Syria suffer from the effects of the destruction caused by the Turkish bombing on the positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which is predominantly Kurdish, in northeastern Syria, and the natural fires that broke out in northwestern Syria.
About a week ago, Turkey and its pro-insurgents have been launching heavy shelling on SDF positions, a military operation that has so far claimed dozens of dead and wounded from Kurdish forces and civilians.
At the same time as the Turkish military operation intensified, forest fires appeared in the coastal province of Lattakia in northwestern Syria on Monday, which devoured large areas of land, and other fires broke out in the provinces of Tartous and Homs, and local authorities attributed the spread of fires to the strong winds and rugged terrain that made Fire brigades find it difficult to reach the fire areas, and two people were killed while extinguishing a fire in Lattakia countryside.
It is noteworthy that about 103 fires also broke out in several Lebanese places, and concentrated in the area of Chouf and Iqlim al-Kharroub south of Beirut, and covered clouds of smoke entrances to Beirut, Chouf and Sidon south, and devastated large areas of land and a number of houses and cars, and trapped many civilians in their homes.
