A gendarme of the platoon of intervention (PSIG) of Compiegne was killed, Wednesday morning, in a road accident in Clairoix.
A second policeman slightly wounded
As he was traveling with a colleague to the scene of a judicial operation, the soldier lost control of his car, which went off the road and hit a tree, according to the information collected by Europe 1. The police officer 33 years old, father of two, died. At his side, a 21-year-old volunteer police constable was slightly injured and very shocked. He was hospitalized in Compiègne.
I have just learned with great sadness the death of a member of the gendarmerie intervention and surveillance platoon, while he was going into intervention.
My first thoughts are with his wounded comrade, his family and all his brothers in arms.
On Twitter, the Minister of the Interior, Christophe Castaner, spoke, expressing his immense sadness. The National Gendarmerie has also published a tweet in which it shows its support: "We express our full support for his family, loved ones and comrades experienced by this tragedy."
