European city par excellence, Strasbourg is resolutely committed to the defense of human rights and democracy. On the occasion of the International Day of Peace, September 21, Cartooning for Peace wanted to celebrate these fundamental values through an exhibition "When is Human Rights?" in Strasbourg, until 8 November 2019.
The opportunity for the cartoonist Hani Abbas to highlight the importance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in a context where its values and principles are today under serious threat around the world.
Cartooning for Peace is an international network of cartoonists committed to promoting, through the universality of press design, freedom of expression, human rights and mutual respect between people of different cultures or beliefs.
