A woman in her 50s living in Akita Prefecture has been infected with the new coronavirus. The number of confirmed infections in Akita Prefecture is now 10 people.
The infection was confirmed in a woman in her 50s living within the jurisdiction of Yurihonjo Health Center in Akita Prefecture.
The woman was a mother of a teenage female who attended a vocational school in Tokyo, where the infection was confirmed, and she lived at home with her daughter who returned home from March 28.
The woman also worked for up to one day as a nursing assistant at a hospital in Yurihonjo, but said that contact with patients was likely to be limited.
