Vilhelmina Municipality is facing major savings measures and has been forced to borrow SEK 60 million to pay operations and salaries. Two savings proposals proposed by the local council in February were to close down the two village schools, which has faced major protests.

Ahead of today's delegation meeting, parents and children from Saxnäs school, Strandskolan, Nästansjö school and Malgovik school gathered outside the hall in the People's House to get the politicians to think again.

- We want to get through a rebate. We believe that the preparations are not made correctly. Referrals must be returned and reviewed again in an objective way, says parent Maria Holmström, who is present at today's meeting.
