The door of the permanence of the MEP LREM Carole Grandjean was degraded Friday in Nancy.

The permanence of LREM MP Carole Grandjean, in Nancy, was covered with posters denouncing her vote in favor of Ceta, a trade agreement between the European Union and Canada, and tagged with the inscription "yellow vests".

On the front door, about fifteen posters were stuck: next to the portrait of the member of the 1st constituency of Meurthe-et-Moselle, a cliché of a dirty chick farm with the mentions: "THE CETA Carole Grandjean voted FOR "in red letters and" Yellow Vests still there, "according to photos published on the website of L'Est Républicain.

Black inscriptions "GJ 54" were affixed to the door of the permanence, located in the city center of Nancy, near the prefecture and Stanislas place.

Made in the night from Thursday to Friday

According to the prosecution, the facts were committed on the night of Thursday to Friday. The police, in charge of the investigation, made findings. "For the moment, no complaint has been filed," said the prosecution.

Local elected officials, including Nancy's centrist Mayor Laurent Hénart and Greater East Region President Jean Rottner, supported the member on Twitter. "Violence can not be a debate in a democracy", tweeted Mr. Hénart, condemning "this unacceptable degradation". "Such acts are unspeakable, state authority must be the only answer, the Republic must be respected," Rottner responded.

Violence can not be a debate in a democracy. I strongly condemn this unacceptable degradation and assure @ CGrandjean54 and his parliamentary team of my support for this aggression #Republichttps: //t.co/cCPPmzLuZD

Degradations multiply

Several meetings of deputies or local LREM party have been walled, tagged, or even sacked in recent weeks, causing a condemnation of the entire political class.

The degradations are mostly accompanied by messages relating to the ratification last month of Ceta, a controversial free trade treaty between the EU and Canada, and sometimes signed by the "yellow vests".
