Kronogården has a far-reaching problem with damage. Therefore, camera surveillance has been in demand for a long time, among other things by PRO, which in 2019 had the windows on its premises crushed on several occasions. The new legislation that allows the police to set up temporary camera surveillance, for a maximum of three months, will now soon become reality.

During the year, the police in Östra Fyrbodal also expect that fixed surveillance cameras will be mounted in a number of locations in Kronogården.

Drones already in progress

The Trollhäte Police also have a team specially trained to work with drones. According to Jenny Wester, Deputy Police Area Manager, the district of Kronogården is an area where it can come in handy.

- It is an effective tool for managing and directing operational operations, for example in the event of riots or other, she says.

Trollhäte police drones have already been used for several purposes, including in connection with the search for the missing 17-year-old in Uddevalla.
