His Highness, accompanied by Lieutenant-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, toured the main hall of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center "ADNEC", starting his tour by stopping at the "Masdar" company pavilion, as he briefed him and his companions on the giant projects implemented by "Masdar" "Mubadala" company in 25 countries around the world to produce hydrogen energy.
His Highness heard from officials at (Masdar) an explanation through the huge scale displayed in the pavilion about the number of projects and the energy of each project of clean energy and the countries with which Masdar cooperates in investment projects in the field of clean energy, then his Highness stopped at the Expo 2020 Dubai Pavilion "And listen to those in charge of the pavilion to an explanation about the role of" Expo 2020 "in spreading societal awareness regarding waste recycling and the use of renewable energy and focus through meetings and forums that the" Expo 2020 "management in universities, schools and others on the topic of permanent sustainability to ensure a better future in various Domains.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stopped at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) booth, which keen to participate in this global fair every year which attracts all project developers in the field of future energy, distributors, innovators and investors from all over the world in order to review and discover new solutions to the challenges The key and new trends shaping prospects for sustainable development around the world.
In the Dewa Pavilion, His Highness reviewed the most important old and new projects implemented by the authority in Dubai through the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Energy Complex, which is the largest in the world and whose production capacity by 2030 reaches about 5,000 megawatts with an investment of 50 billion dirhams .
One of the most recent projects that His Highness viewed through a large scale green hydrogen project to produce electricity using hydrogen, which will be operated in the first quarter of this year as an experimental stage. It is expected that its production capacity will reach 300 megawatt hours after reaching completion after the pilot phase, then His Highness will know On the fifth stage of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park project in Dubai.
His Highness, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, concluded his tour at the exhibition by visiting the pavilion of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, which displays the features of the future of sustainability in the sectors of agriculture, space, energy and mobility through the "Klix" forum organized by the Ministry for the third year in a row.
His Highness was briefed on the forum’s projects, which number about 42 innovative projects, including weather satellites, agriculture, hydrogen fuel cells, and fast charging networks for electric vehicles.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum expressed his happiness with visiting the exhibition accompanying the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, praising His Highness the wide international participation in this global scientific technical gathering that aims to gather global capabilities, energies and ideas in order to achieve a better and more comprehensive future for clean energy in the world.
