Son Heung-min uses the involuntary Premier League break to serve in his native South Korea.

Tottenham announces this on Monday.

Son will begin service in April and return to London in May.

Military service is mandatory in South Korea and lasts for two years. But thanks to Son taking part in winning the Asian Championship with his country in 2018, he has been granted an exception and only needs to complete a basic course that should correspond to about 500 hours.
