Matvienko proposed to extend the tax on self-employed throughout Russia

According to her, the corresponding experiment is successful in separately selected regions, so a special tax regime could be introduced from next year already in the whole country.

“More than 200 thousand people have already registered as self-employed. And the special professional income tax paid off, ”she said during the hearings on the draft federal budget for 2020-2022.

Earlier, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov proposed defining a list of professions where you can use the tax regime for the self-employed.

The economist Nikita Maslennikov, head of the Finance and Economics department of the Institute for Contemporary Development, in an interview with Nation News, evaluated the results of pilot projects for self-employed in Russia.
