A 16-year-old, known to the police for drug trafficking, suffers from third-degree burns. An investigation has been opened.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital on Tuesday after being sequestered in a cellar in the city of Félix-Pyat, in the 3rd district of Marseille, against a backdrop of the war of stupas, reveals La Provence .

Known police services

The young man was allegedly tortured, particularly with a blowtorch. He suffers third degree burns, arm and sex. After being released by young people from the city, the victim was reportedly taken to the hospital by a motorist, where he was later taken into care.

The teenager is known to the police for narcotics trafficking. Originally from Chartres, in the Eure-et-Loir, he would have fled the home in which he had been placed, before joining Marseille where he sold drugs. On August 9, he was arrested in the 14th district of Marseille, the city of Micocouliers, for drug trafficking.

Surprised by dealers

An investigation for "violence accompanied or followed by acts of torture or barbarism and kidnapping" was entrusted to the interregional directorate of the judicial police (DIPJ) of Marseille.

The young man would have recovered drugs he had hidden in the city of Micocouliers and then sell them to the city Felix-Pyat, where he would have been surprised by other dealers, reports a judicial source. Asked about his actions and his presence in this city, the teenager told them he was working in "freelance". Dissatisfied with this response, the dealers allegedly abused him.

During his first hearing, the victim confirmed most of the first elements gathered during the investigation, reports the regional daily.
