One of the things that has been difficult is trusting people, says Marie-Louice Strannemark. When we meet Nisse he is noticeably shy, he does not like sudden movements and loud noises. And when we interview Marie-Louice downstairs, he runs up and stays away.

- He is no one who cares with everyone, but now me and my sister are no problem. But he can still get what I call flashbacks.

"Many tears and great frustration"

It has been a tough and varied journey and has cost many tears and great frustration, she continues.

- The risk is great that if Nisse had ended up with someone else, he would have been relocated immediately, in the worst case became a walking trophy and ended with killing, says Marie-Louice Strannemark.

Many veterinary visits

There have also been problems with Nisse's health, which include itching and dental health. A veterinarian also noticed that Nisse had large pupils.

- He had a hard time seeing if he threw something at him, became afraid of sudden events, movements at the food, did not like to have someone behind him. Nisse was then diagnosed with central blindness and cannot be treated.

Nisse has also, as a young person, been treated for puppy disease, which today is seen through neurological side effects.

Marie-Louice's own experience of owning a street dog has made her more interested in the subject. She has investigated several associations and private individuals working on rescuing street dogs and according to her several of them are rogue.
