One of the things that has been difficult is trusting people, says Marie-Louice Strannemark. When we meet Nisse he is noticeably shy, he does not like sudden movements and loud noises. And when we interview Marie-Louice downstairs, he runs up and stays away.
- He is no one who cares with everyone, but now me and my sister are no problem. But he can still get what I call flashbacks.

There have also been problems with Nisse's health, which include itching and dental health. A veterinarian also noticed that Nisse had large pupils.

Nisse has also, as a young person, been treated for puppy disease, which today is seen through neurological side effects.
Marie-Louice's own experience of owning a street dog has made her more interested in the subject. She has investigated several associations and private individuals working on rescuing street dogs and according to her several of them are rogue.
