It was previously reported that the United States may impose duties on goods imported from France in connection with the introduction of the digital tax by Paris.

On January 5, the French Minister of Economics and Finance, Bruno Le Mer, promised to impose sanctions against the United States if they try to “punish” Paris for imposing a tax on the activities of large IT companies, including American ones.
