The president of Seat. Luca de Meo, has voluntarily and in common agreement with the Volkswagen group, the executive presidency of the brand.

On an interim basis, the Vice President of Finance, Carsten Isensee, will add to his duties, for the moment, the executive presidency of Seat.

Luca de Meo will continue to be part of the Group until further notice. Everything indicates that De Meo could join the Renault Group as a new CEO, since he is the favorite for Jean Dominique Senard, president of the French consortium.

As they point out from France, first De Meo would be CEO of the Renault Group in two years to lead the Renault Nissan Alliance.

De Meo arrived in Seat in November 2015 after the dieselgate exploded and leaves Seat with a record of vehicles sold and profits.

Renault Groupe has not said anything officially about who the new CEO will be.
