This month, the Louvre Abu Dhabi is celebrating its second anniversary, having achieved great achievements, launched many programs, and presented a large number of artifacts in its exhibition halls.

Since its opening in 2017, the Louvre Abu Dhabi has received more than two million visitors from around the world, enjoying its rich collection highlighting different cultures and its eight exhibitions to date.

The museum also reinforced its commitment to its educational mission by opening the Children's Museum in its new look in July 2019, the first of its kind in the Arab world, and received more than 60,000 school visits.

“Two years ago we launched the Louvre Abu Dhabi as a gift from Abu Dhabi to the world. Our vision was to create a global museum that highlights the similarities between different cultures and civilizations, through a wide range of artifacts and artifacts. ”

“In just two years, the Louvre Abu Dhabi has established itself on the world stage as a meeting place for cultural exchange and for engaging society in this intercultural dialogue,” said Manuel Rabaté, director of the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

“The Louvre Abu Dhabi cultural seasons offer visitors an opportunity to delve deeper into key historical moments from a unique global perspective,” said Dr. Thuraya Njeim, Director of the Department of Art and Museum Curators and Scientific Research.
