According to the “Championship” with reference to the personal trainer of the athlete Alexander Kasperovich, the reason for the refusal is Loginov’s psychological unpreparedness.

On February 22, information appeared that the Italian police were conducting searches of members of the Russian national team, including searches of numbers of biathletes Alexander Loginov and Yevgeny Garanichev, as well as coach Alexander Kasperovich.

It is noted that Kasperovich found Ukrainian accreditation. The head of the Biathlon Federation of Ukraine Volodymyr Brynzak said that they could not find accreditation from this specialist. However, later the head coach of the Russian national team, Anatoly Khovantsev, admitted that Kasperovich took accreditation from a member of the Ukrainian national team.

Subsequently, the Russian Embassy in Italy reported that the primary results of the search indicate the absence of evidence indicating the use of doping.

Earlier, the Norwegian biathlete Tarja Boe expressed the opinion that the searches at Loginov are associated not only with Kasperovich’s accreditation.
