Toronto was on a receipt in the final stage of the third period when Pär Lindholm stayed ahead of Boston's punctured match. He won an important draw in his own zone before Boston changed lightning fast. Sean Kuraly finished and on the return Lindholm showed up and put it 4-2 and the match was decided.
Toronto chose to offer Lindholm a contract for last year's season, but in February he was signed to Winnipeg. Then the trip continued to Boston during the summer.
In addition to Lindholm's goals, it was a lot about Boston's dreaded first chain. David Pastrnak opened the goal line at the end of the first period, assisted by Brad Marchand.
