Rennes beat Paris Saint-Germain, the two-time French champions, their first defeat of the season (2-1), Sunday, during the second day of Ligue 1.
The Parisians, winners of Nimes (3-0) last week, had yet opened the mark by Edinson Cavani (36) before Mbaye Niang (44) and Romain del Castillo reverse the trend. Lyon, which edged Angers (6-0) Friday, remains ahead of the championship of France.
