Paris SG consolidated its leading position by winning in Brest (2-1) thanks to Mauro Icardi, Saturday during a 13th day of Ligue 1 which saw Monaco get closer to the podium and Lille stall.

. Icardi saves PSG

At PSG, one Argentine hides another. While Angel di Maria had launched his team on track (39th), Mauro Icardi sealed at the very end (85th) a victory which, finally, was delayed to take shape.

Substitute at kickoff, the "Goleador" scored his 9th goal in ten games, pushing a little more towards the exit Edinson Cavani, who has not shone for his first tenure since late August.

His goal allowed the leader to restore his authority, eight days after his surprise defeat in Dijon (2-1), despite the absences of Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and goalkeeper Keylor Navas, embarrassed to adductors during the warm-up.

The three players are expected for the clash against Lille on November 22, after the international truce. In case of prolonged unavailability, coach Thomas Tuchel can always count on his Argentineans on fire.

. Monaco darkens

The storm has passed the edge of the Mediterranean. After a catastrophic start that saw him win his first match on the 7th day, Monaco has raised the bar to the point of soon being able to settle on the podium.

His victory against Dijon (1-0) thanks to Aleksandr Golovin (43) has replaced it to a point of the third - a combination that owes as much to his good series (three successes in the last four games) that this L1 very tight where no team seems to want to anchor at high altitude.

. Lille and Angers stall

Lille is a very good example. Dolphins of the PSG last season, the Dogues struggle to find the same level. Against Metz (0-0), they missed the opportunity to pass second, after a very dull match.

Beaten in Marseille last Saturday (2-1), slapped in Valencia on Tuesday in the Champions League (4-1), the Nordists conclude a very complicated week that made the business of Angers, though not in better shape.

The SCO, which drew 0-0 in Reims, have won only one of their last six league games, but remain well behind PSG.

Its situation, precarious, can switch on Sunday: Nantes or Saint-Etienne, who compete at 17:00, as Marseille, against Lyon (21:00), have the opportunity to double the Angevins.

At the bottom of the table, Strasbourg pulled out of the relegation zone by beating Nîmes (4-1) with a double Lebo Mothiba.
