September 16, Kuznetsova visited the victim at the Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology. She noted that the girl misses her mother.
“We are in touch with the Investigative Committee, and we know that no criminal proceedings have been instituted against the mother, she is neither a suspect nor an accused,” the Ombudsman said.
Azhigova is recovering. However, according to Kuznetsova, it’s too early to write out the girl.
She was taken to a hospital in Ingushetia on July 4 with multiple bodily injuries. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on this fact. On suspicion of committing a crime, the aunt of the victim was arrested.
On August 7, at the Roshal Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology, the girl was amputated from the dead part of her right hand, including the wrist and forearm.
