The American White House announced at the Japan-US Summit that the two leaders confirmed the importance of security cooperation between the three countries.

A US-Japan summit between President Trump and Prime Minister Abe took place in New York on the afternoon of the 25th and the day before 26th, Japan time.

According to the White House, the two leaders confirmed the importance of close friendships and alliances at the meeting and agreed to continue deepening their cooperation.

The two leaders also discussed issues shared by both countries, including issues in Iran and North Korea.

President Trump and Prime Minister Abe also confirmed the importance of security cooperation between the three countries, Japan, the United States, and South Korea.

He welcomed the signing of the first-stage trade agreement on the new trade negotiations between Japan and the United States, and shared that he would work towards the rapid conclusion of a comprehensive trade agreement.
