According to the Secretary General of the Japanese government, during the negotiations between Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit in French Biarritz, the parties agreed on close cooperation on issues of North Korea’s nuclear missile program, as well as on the issue of Japanese citizens kidnapped by North Korean intelligence .
Earlier, Abe and Trump reached an agreement on the terms of a trade deal, which may be concluded in September.
