Japan-China-Korea Health Ministers Meeting Exchange of opinions such as countermeasures for infectious diseases or 11:07 on December 15

A meeting of health ministers in Japan, China, and South Korea is held in Seoul, South Korea, and it seems that they are exchanging opinions on how to coordinate measures against infectious diseases such as new influenza.

In addition to the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare, the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare of China, the director of the National Health and Health Committee of China, and Mr. Park Nunhu, Minister of Health and Welfare of Korea, attended the 12th ministerial meeting of health ministers in Japan, China and Korea.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Kato said, “I want to improve my country's system through the meeting and cooperate for the health of people in Asia and the world.”

The meeting will discuss countermeasures against infectious diseases that may spread across national borders, such as the new influenza and Ebola hemorrhagic fever. Opinions also include responses to the aging of the three countries and provision of medical services using ICT and big data. We are going to make a joint statement.

Prior to this, a meeting between the ministers of health in Japan and Korea was also held, and it seems that it has been confirmed that the health sector will work closely in spite of the worsening relations between the two countries.
