Isumi City, Chiba, issued information on evacuation preparations to 16,694 households and 37,784 people throughout the city at 8:50 am because of heavy rains that could cause landslides. The information corresponding to warning level 3 out of the five warning levels calls for elderly people and people with physical disabilities to start evacuation before the effects of the typhoon. Isumi City has opened evacuation centers in four locations in the city.
