by Michela Coricelli 17 January 2020 Positive closings for the European stock exchanges in the last session of the week, while Wall Street today reached new highs after the better data of the estimates on the construction of new houses and after the data on American manufacturing production. The Dow Jones and Nasdaq then slowed down their run, while remaining in positive territory.

Milan gained 0.84%, London 0.85%, Frankfurt 0.72% and Paris 1.02%.

Buzzi Unicem flies to Piazza Affari (+ 3.44%) followed by Prysmian (+ 2.90%) and Diasorin (+ 2.81%). The heaviest stocks were Finecobank (-1.07%) and Mediobanca (-0.66%).

The spread between the Italian BTP and the German Bund retraces 159 basis points.

The euro weakens and is trading at 1.1095 against the dollar.
