According to RIA Novosti with reference to the prosecutor's office, in August, a fire of 39 hectares occurred on the territory of the Ust-Yansky district.
It was established that after a day they stopped extinguishing the fire, while natural barriers, weather conditions and other factors were not taken into account.
Subsequently, the fire area amounted to more than 18 409 hectares, informed the press service. Damage to the power line was followed by an emergency power outage in the village of Uyandi.
The department sent the materials of the audit to the investigating authority; according to the results of the audit, it was decided to open a criminal case.
In the summer, due to forest fires in the region, an emergency mode was announced.
