According to him, sanctions are a holistic mechanism, and if one of the leaders begins to travel to Russia or invite President Vladimir Putin to sit at the G8 table, this is also a question of sanctions.

“The PACE decision, an invitation to the OSCE meeting of representatives of the so-called Crimean organizations - all these are failures, scattering, falling away pieces of a major sanctions mechanism. All this is a degradation of sanctions, ”he said in an interview with European Truth.

Pristayko pointed out that Ukraine is concerned about allegations of “reapproval” of sanctions for half a year.

“We are worried when we are told:“ Well, how so? We’ll reaffirm the sanctions, there the last round is another half a year. ” We say: it’s possible to reaffirm, but ideologically, the sanctions are beginning to fall apart, ”he stressed.

Earlier, Pristayko stated that it is difficult for the Western partners of Kiev to support anti-Russian sanctions.

According to him, Western sanctions are imperfect, but "nevertheless, they harm the Russian economy."

In mid-September, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky called for continued sanctions against Russia.
