12 September 201910.31 The unemployment rate drops to 9.9% (-0.4 points) in the second quarter of the year. This was announced by Istat, disseminating data on the labor market. At the quarterly level it is the lowest rate after the fourth quarter of 2011 (9.2%). The decrease is recorded for the second consecutive quarter. The number of people in employment rose by 130 thousand units (+ 0.6%) as a result of the increase in permanent and temporary employees, and with less intensity than the independent.
