“According to the Federal Aviation Protection Agency, 453 centers of natural fires continue to operate, of which 28 are localized. The most difficult situation is developing in the territories of Yakutia, the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Irkutsk Region, where smoke is observed in 93 settlements, ”the Ministry of Emergencies noted.
It is clarified that the department’s fire aviation dropped 929 tons of water on fires per day.
Earlier in Buryatia, a group of 1,000 military men was created to extinguish fires.
On August 1, the Ministry for Emergencies called the cause of the spread of fires in Siberia.
The Chairman of the State Duma’s Defense Committee, Colonel-General Vladimir Shamanov, in an interview with the FAN, noted that the scale of the fires in the Far Eastern Siberian zone exceeded the capabilities of the Ministry of Emergencies, and therefore the Defense Ministry was attracted.
