RIA Novosti informs about this with reference to the chief freelance specialist in infectious diseases of the Moscow Health Department Svetlana Smetanina.

According to her, currently there are 21 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals subordinated to the department, two more have already been discharged. They made a preliminary diagnosis of Acute intestinal infection of unspecified etiology.

“All these patients associate their disease with the consumption of finished products from vending machines,” Smetanina said, adding that all the victims are in a satisfactory condition.
