“For NATO, Ukraine is only important as a proving ground, a country that should be used against Russia. Similar serious decisions and statements are unlikely to remain unanswered by our state. It is not very clear what interest for Ukraine is the manifestation of activity on the issue of the INF. ”- said the senator.

According to Tsekov, the termination of the Treaty on the Elimination of Intermediate-Range and Shorter-Range Missiles does not affect the Ukrainian state.

“If they are going to place something on their territory, it will be fraught with serious complications,” he said.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine said that the country is activating a dialogue with NATO in connection with the termination of the Treaty on the Elimination of Medium and Short Range Missiles.

At the same time, the Foreign Ministry indicated that Ukraine was disappointed with the termination of the treaty and "understands the forced actions of the United States."
