A spokesperson for TomTom said that an agreement had been reached with Huawei "some time ago," said the British agency. This contract should avoid the Chinese manufacturer to offer smartphones without GPS application. For the moment, Huawei has not wanted to communicate on the subject. The details of the agreement are also not known.
This news confirms Huawei's willingness to move forward following the sanctions imposed by the Trump administration. In 2019, the brand had already announced it wanted to invest $ 1.5 billion to invite application developers to participate in the creation of an ecosystem independent of Google.
