China News Service reporter Li Chun

Seventy-six days after the "closure of the city", Wuhan pressed the "restart button", but China has not yet ushered in its final victory in fighting the new coronary pneumonia epidemic. On the one hand, among confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections, the proportion of overseas imports continues to increase, and the work of external prevention and internal prevention of rebound must not be relaxed. On the other hand, the global anti-epidemic situation is still grim. China is actively developing international cooperation to help the international community fight the epidemic.

Doing a good job of national defense control and supporting the global war epidemic, and taking care of this "one inside and one outside" cannot be guaranteed without medical supplies. At the press conference of the Joint Defense and Joint Control Mechanism of the State Council on the 8th, the heads of relevant departments introduced how to guarantee both internal and external medical supplies production in China.

Guarantee "domestic demand" and provide strong support for epidemic prevention

After the outbreak of the New Coronary Pneumonia epidemic in China, the demand for medical supplies showed an explosive growth, and the related material security faced great pressure. To this end, the Chinese government has established a medical material guarantee group under the joint defense and joint control mechanism of the State Council led by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and composed of more than ten departments to conduct unified dispatch and command of various materials, gradually reversing the shortage of medical materials.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Huang Libin, said that as of April 2nd, the Medical Material Security Team has allocated more than 8 million pieces of medical protective clothing, 1.65 million medical isolation masks (eye masks), 357 tons of disposable hand sanitizer, and hand-held More than 660,000 infrared thermometers, more than 1,000 negative-pressure ambulances, and more than 70,000 sets of medical treatment equipment such as ventilators provide "strong support for epidemic prevention and control in Hubei Province and even the whole country."

With the Chinese society's efforts to promote the resumption of production and production, the production capacity of medical materials has ushered in a substantial increase, and the introduction of "live water" for the supply of materials. Cao Xuejun, deputy director of the Consumer Goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that from the perspective of supply and demand, the production capacity of medical protective clothing, medical protective masks, medical isolation goggles / face masks, thermometers, and ventilators has basically met domestic demand.

Huang Libin also said that on the premise of preventing the input and rebound of the epidemic situation, the division and grading should promote the comprehensive resumption of industrial production. At the same time, strengthen the protection of protective materials, continue to organize and guide the full chain of key medical materials to resume production.

Under the current epidemic prevention situation of China's foreign defense imports and internal defense rebounds, the supply of medical supplies in key areas cannot be relaxed. Huang Libin pointed out that the medical supplies of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Hubei and other provinces that maintain the first-level response mechanism should be well protected. On this basis, the supply of medical supplies in the provinces where the first entry points of 12 international passenger flights are also guaranteed , And further increase the supply of medical supplies for all border ports and provinces where medium-risk areas are located.

Provide "foreign demand" to help global anti-epidemic measures

According to the World Health Organization data, there are currently more than 1.32 million confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in the world, and the fight against the epidemic urgently needs to gather global synergy. While safeguarding the national defense epidemic materials, China is also providing material support within its capabilities for global epidemic prevention and control, and expanding its contribution to the global epidemic prevention.

With the global spread of the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, invasive ventilators have become one of the most in short supply of medical supplies, and the demand of all parties has increased dramatically. Chen Kelong, deputy director of the Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that in order to help the international community fight the epidemic, China actively promotes domestic enterprises to speed up production and increase production capacity, and guides enterprises to strictly control China and export national standards to ensure product quality.

Chen Kelong said that currently China has supplied nearly 18,000 ventilators abroad, including more than 4,000 ventilators. "Chinese ventilator manufacturers are working overtime, doing everything possible to provide product support for global anti-epidemic, and in accordance with the principle of marketization, conducting business negotiations with international purchasers."

At the press conference on the same day, Liu Jingzhen, chairman of China National Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., also stated that Sinopharm Group was carrying out international assistance and intergovernmental procurement, signed 360 million pieces of anti-epidemic materials with 88 countries and international organizations, and shipped to 64 countries1 More than 100 million pieces.

Huang Libin said that according to statistics, as of the end of March, a total of more than 100 countries and international organizations have submitted relevant material needs to China, including protective clothing, masks, goggles, thermometers, ventilators, medicines, etc. "The State Council has established a corresponding working mechanism. We will cooperate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce and other relevant departments to organize the implementation of the production and supply of related materials."

He also pointed out that in the face of huge international demand, China's capabilities are also limited. At the same time, there are many factors that restrict the performance of China's medical assets and the improvement of supply capacity. "When China's epidemic prevention and control situation is improving, and the spread of foreign epidemic situations is accelerating, we are willing to provide support and assistance within the capabilities of relevant countries and regions, and encourage enterprises to serve the international community with high-quality Chinese products."
