Hokuriku Shinkansen resumes operation on all lines on 25th October 23rd at 17:00 on the upper and lower lines
JR East announced a schedule to operate for the time being, before the Hokuriku Shinkansen, which has been suspended in some sections due to the impact of Typhoon No. 19, resumes operation on the entire line from 25th. The number of operations will decrease by 14 on the upper and lower lines, and will be operating at nearly 90%.
The Hokuriku Shinkansen has become inaccessible between Nagano Station and Joetsu Myoko Station in Niigata Prefecture due to the flooding of the Nagano Shinkansen Vehicle Center, and direct operation between Tokyo and Kanazawa is no longer possible.
JR East has decided to resume operation on all lines from the 25th due to the prospects for restoration work and safety confirmation.
According to this, the number of driving will be reduced by 14 due to the shortage of vehicles, etc., and will be 104, which is 88% of the previous.
In particular,
▽ Kagayaki, which connects Tokyo and Kanazawa, will be reduced by two lines on the upper and lower lines, and Hakutaka will operate at the same number as before.
▽ "Asama" connecting Tokyo and Nagano has been reduced by 11 lines,
▽ "Tsurugi" connecting Kanazawa and Toyama will be reduced by one on the up line.
JR East is considering operations such as putting the vehicle that was planned to be put on the Joetsu Shinkansen into the Hokuriku Shinkansen, and says, "I want to be able to return to the normal schedule as soon as possible."
