Aleksa Lundberg is an actor, writer, journalist and lecturer - she often talks about her experiences of gender dysphoria and transition.

For Assignment Review, she says that she was a lonely child. When she failed to play the role of a guy, Aleksa Lundberg describes it as she joined an inner world where she could be whoever she wanted, a princess named Aurora.

As an 18-year-old, she applied for care to do a gender correction. Today, almost 20 years later, Aleksa Lundberg sometimes asks if she really needed to go through the operation.

- With everything I know today, I couldn't have lived as a feminine guy, gay? But had it been possible to live in that body or had gender dysphoria eaten me up? I do not know.
