The very tourist Montenvers train suffered a slight derailment Sunday, and will remain closed Monday.

The small Montenvers rack railway, which gives access to the Mer de Glace in the Mont-Blanc massif, will remain closed Monday after a "small derailment" Sunday, one learned Monday from its operator, confirming a piece of information local media.

No injuries to lament. Sunday, around 14:25, the small train with bright red wagons, which carried 150 people, derailed "at the level of the referral" Planards, about "three quarters of the descent between the Montenvers and Chamonix", said to AFP Antoine Burnet, commercial director of Compagnie du Mont-Blanc.

Nothing goes to #Chamonix where the little Montenvers train goes upside down and derails! #Haute-Savoie
More fear than harm because it was not on the viaduct! pic.twitter.com/Vfh29ZbU3E

There were no casualties but travelers were "quite shocked" by the incident. Inaugurated in May 1909, this very tourist train celebrates its 110th anniversary this year.
