Since Malmö, who had a plus goal more than Hammarby before the final round, set goals against Örebro, Hammarby was never close to being threatened in the gold match. But the team extended the goal record in the Allsvenskan to 75 hits.

- It's mixed emotions. It's damn hard and boring but we did what we could but didn't have it in our own hands. We make a very good season and get 65 points with us, hit the goal record undefeated at home but that was not enough gold, says Muamer Tankovic to SVT Sport.

- It looked impossible during the fall, but we made it possible, says Tankovic to play a decisive gold match ahead of packed stands as the end of the season.

Coach Stefan Billborn was clear on what was Hammarby's primary focus in the home meeting with Häcken: Winning - and then seeing what it would do.

The answer he got?

The 4-1 victory was enough for a European place - but not for anything in the Swedes.

Djurgården seized the gold medal by retrieving up to 2–2 away against IFK Norrköping and Malmö FF, 5–0 away against Örebro, finished second when the season was summed up.

Massive support

During a rather quiet warm-up, the players turned to the long side and applauded the fans who were early on. The answer will be a great cheer, and shortly thereafter the supporters started the campaign: "Hammarby, Hammarby, Hammarby".

It was the seed that the spectators needed to bloom, increase the sound backdrop and carry out their team.

Some possible sound peaks then seemed to be impossible.

But of course there was space.

The first excitement came after eight minutes. The fans screamed straight out of joy, bounced in their seats and had their fists in the air when they learned that Djurgården was lying against IFK Norrköping.

The next goal at Östgötaporten was followed by new cheer.

Biggest roar

The absolute biggest rattle took place in the 35th minute, when Alexander Kacaniklic received a header from Nikola Djurdjic and arranged his tenth all-Swedish goal when he placed 1–0 behind Häcken goalkeeper Peter Abrahamsson.

Given the results at that time - Djurgården's 0–2 against IFK Norrköping, Malmö FF's 2–0 against Örebro - the gold battle was about goal difference.

For Hammarby, these were two.

- The hedge does well, holds the ball well and comes between us, but we lead by 1-0. We can get a little better in the last third, with the last pass, Kacaniklic told C More during the break.

After the goal several good situations followed for Hammarby but it was Häcken who stood for the next goal.

Six minutes into the second Gustaf Nilsson got some luck with the ball from Daleho Irandust, but the finish with the left was nothing wrong.

The 1-1 target meant new conditions for Hammarby in the gold battle.

Over time, the premise would get worse. Impossible, even.

Malmö's goal show meant that Hammarby had to be made far too many. There were three more: Nikola Djurdjic, a self-target and Mats Solheim, a perfect finish before the move.
