The agreement reached between the detractors of President Moïse focuses on two points: the future head of state will be chosen among the judges of the Court of Cassation and the Prime Minister among the opposition . A central body will be created to control the work of this new executive couple. Only one party, Famni Lavalas, did not sign the agreement, without detailing its reservations on the document.

The businessman Bernard Craan, a member of the collective Passerelle, which has favored the negotiations, wants to avoid any international interference in this transitional regime. " We need an inter-Haitian solution, and that's what we're doing. This inter-Haitian solution will be far from perfect. We will need international assistance, but not international intervention, not international interference. We are not going to reinvent the wheel, "he explains.

Decisions " taken by Haitians "

And the businessman continued: " This international assistance will help us to rehabilitate our judicial system, help us to consolidate the national police, to give it the means to do its job, to do well the investigations that will have to be made, help us also at the level of economic decisions we have to take, because we do not know everything. If the Monetary Fund, if the World Bank want to help us, why not ? But these will be decisions that will have to be made by Haitians. "

To mark this agreement and further demand that President Jovenel Moïse resign, the signatories have called for a new demonstration this Sunday.
